Read what the cat says today...Tribute to NJCO (short one only =x)
Seeing my juniors' blogs, I realise, I miss those times in NJCO too. If not for the CCA carnival in AJCO that I attended when I was in AJ, I might have went for band instead. But AJCO managed to "pull" me over. And I got to know lia!! Who's actually in my AJ class la. But um. I was too dao then, and depressed about not being able to go HC. Anyway. Ya. So I got to know lia. Who's from RV. Who knows many other CO pple. Who, when O Levels results came out and I decided to change JC, and fate has it that I CAN'T even appeal successfully to HC, I ended up in NJ. And the most obvious CCA to join would be CO. So, Lia said to me, "You go NJCO rite, you tell them u'r XQ's gerger. Then no one will bully you!!!" Wahahaha. Because majority of NJCO pple are from RVCO. So ya. After going NJ. I had almost no problem mixing ard. And I had fun. And of coz the horror of going for SYF. When I had only learnt erhu for..less than 5 months? Nonetheless, it was fun.
And we had concert. And I started to learn how to 混. The most useful skill. Wahahaha. It was also the time for camp. Very interesting. The things we said about playing pranks on NJSB, but never did it, the late night gathering in gal's rm, saying ghost stories. And those games we played.
But things dun always go smoothly. Some thing happened, which, those who know will remember, and those who don't, it doesn't really matter. And suddenly CO got abit. Weird. And it never get any better. Just stayed as that. But at least its only one person that I had problems with. So, not that bad. Concert came and went. And soon we're headed for graduation. Mug mug mug, and 2002 went by.
After graduation, some of us decided to go back and visit the juniors. Pple like, moomoo, ZT, YF, WT, WM..(suddenly the names escape me. =x) The wonderful juniors who worked very hard and made a long dead dream come true again for NJCO. SYF. We free graduates decided (again) to go for SYF, despite that being the SARS period and all those funny precautions were taking place. And prayed we can make it into the finals. And so we did. Very very ecstatic.
And soon it was preparation for Aurora IV. It was then that I got to know many more juniors, those who're 2yrs younger than me, YC, SP, Serene, YX, Tristan, Eunice..It was fun being with those younger than me, although, I only played two pieces at that concert. I still tried to mix around with the juniors (but that dao streak in me refuse to get away la. oops. =x) Anyway, we still had fun.
2004. Again, SQ n I decided to go back once again for Aurora V. This time. I can play more pieces. Forced myself not to give up, and hey! I'm an alumni leh!! How can I play worse than my juniors!! SO throw face rite? =p So back I went to NJ almost every week from May onwards, and got to know more juniors. And to my delight. More were from NYGH!!! =p So ya. Craziness and crapiness ruled CO practices, and I think, Aurora V was much more fun than Aurora IV. And SQ went for the Genting trip with NJCO, somehow, I regretted not going. If I went, I'd have known my juniors even more.
Anyway, instead of buying flowers for all performing juniors, like we did for Aurora IV, I bought chocolates for all my erhu juniors.
And I shall continue my own little tradition of going back for Aurora, and treating my juniors. =p ~lalala~ It's not that I want to bribe my juniors (why should I in any sense?), but it's this sense of belonging I have to the CO. I may not be as close to the CO as my juniors are, but I still love the CO, and will always visit you guys when I can.
Hmm. This is not short at all. Oh well. After reading shao's blog on NJCO. Was thinking I should write something about NJCO too. And most of my readers are from NJCO. So. This is dedicated to all of youuuuuuuuu!! =p Aurora's round the corner. Yes it may seem to be quite far away, and esp there's SYF in May which is nearer. I can't wait for MY hols to start so I can play in an orchestra again. I miss NJCO. =xWhen I play with my cat, who knows if I am not a pasttime for her more than she is to me?---Michel deMontaigne---
