Read what the cat says today...Random thoughts of the week..
I think I know why there were more widows/divorced females than widowers/divorced males who remained single until death. Especially in the past. Females THEN, do not speak of freedom. Much less they feel the need for sexual satisfaction. Alamak, they don't even have enough time for housework let alone for THAT. Females nowadays want everything, and that's why there's more wives having extra marital affairs and applying for divorce. Gaaahh. Men are different. I don't have to spell it out la. And I still don't understand why. Because I'm no male. Anyway, like I said in ZL's blog, bfs are a bother la. Guys are quite troublesome nowadays. Sue me la! #@&%^#!$^%!^#^%!$!% grrrr.
Had a not very auspicious dream last night. One of the Taiwan auntie actress had her food being snatched off by a flock of crows, and one of them was sitting at a nearby wall. Another of those actress took out a gun and shot dead the crow. Me being me stepped out and started scolding that crow killer. And she turned and pointed the gun at me!!! But no I didnt die. She never shoot. after she walked away, I took a spade and digged a hole and buried the crow. So sad so sad. =x
Started reading on Samurai stuff. Very interesting. So I must watch my Toshiie to Matsu and get the feel of bushido. Have to say actually The Last Samurai did not really depict bushido very well. If time permits, maybe I'll go get Kurosawa Akira's samurai shows and watch. And borrow all of Laura Joh Rowland's books. =x Gah. Going all mad over Japanese stuff again. I want to visit Japan again!! And I want to go to the various castles, take more photos and visit the museums. -I should have just majored in JS- =x

Something not very politcally correct/religiously correct point here. I realise..the English like to preach. ALOT. In the 15th century Japan, when the missionaries arrived, they started converting Japanese. It was only until Tokugawa Ieyasu came to power, the first shogun to unify Japan after a century of internal war, he excercised seclusion of Japan did the missionaries get chased out/excuted, and converts were secluded in a special quarter. That's why current Japan had only 1-2% of the whole population being Christians. My point is, I don't understand the part about preaching. No offence to any of my Christian frens la, but I just don't get it. Just take a look at the map, and the history. Christianity has spreaded itself throughout the world. Places where English (generally) had been to in the past, there's Christianity. I don't see other religions being spreaded in such a way. Perhaps religions such as Islam, Hinduism, Shintoism and even Bhuddism is quite tightly bound to a certain race, the people practising their OWN religion don't see the need to preach. Again, no offence to any Christians who're reading. =x Anyway, kudos to Tokugawa shogun who took the effort to preserve their own Japanese religion beliefs. I felt a little thriumph when I read to the part where Ieyasu came to power. Though it might not be a good thing that he practiced seclusion of Japan. There. I'd spoken my mind. =x And I appreciate the fact my Christian friends don't preach. To me, and other non-Christian friends. =p Yay.When I play with my cat, who knows if I am not a pasttime for her more than she is to me?---Michel deMontaigne---
